My Dear Deborah Group,
It has been a month since returning from your 18-day tour to Israel and
Jordan. I’ve talked to many of you and the jetlag and exhaustion have
disappeared – leaving in its place a not-so-subtle yearning to return to
the Land. Thoughts of your new “home” have already started to flood your
hearts and minds!
Indeed, your lives have been greatly impacted by “the Bible coming to
life!” Not will your understanding of the Word continue to change, but
you will find everyday experiences taking on new dimensions. It’s almost
like each day has facets that radiate new light and color! One simply
views life in a whole new way!
You were a wonderful group – so attentive too. You were savoring each
moment, I could tell. There were times of awe, great spiritual
awakening, joy, and certainly laughter! (Trav, you still offered the
best story for the most uncontrolled laughter!) There was a bonding as a
“family” with the spirit of being a “brother’s keeper” that warmed my
heart. Many also enjoyed some great high adventures: e.g. climbing down
Arbel and rafting down the Jordan River.
It was truly awesome to stand on so many biblical sites. We gazed out
over the vistas, trying to fathom the layer-upon-layer of history
unfolding – meshing history with biblical history. How exciting was
that?!
Certainly, “PAPA” (Dr. Stephen Langfur), is to be thanked for his
brilliant scholarship, patience, and kind attention to detail. (Both on
tour, and all those pre-tour hours working on my numerous requests and
itinerary details.) And a special thanks to Khader Mascobi for making
sure the final stage of the tour was done with a flare!
And to Don Bechtel, thank you for your spirit of ministry to the group;
to Jennifer Lile, thank you for taking on the burden of “back up”; and
to Jeffry Sample, for being there for me and just about everybody else!
You have one big servant’s heart!
A final “thank you” to all of you! You were simply marvelous and showed
the stamina, inner resolve and courage of Deborah! I bless you for that.
Friends, your will lives will reflect His presence in a new way; finding
new ministry in a subtle … or maybe an obvious way. Wait and see!
One thing is for sure – your life HAS changed for the better!
My love and hugs,
Kay Money (Mother Money)
P.S. Since “repeaters’ make up about 50% of my tours – I hope to see
many of you on another tour!
"The experience Kay helps make possible is so rich – beyond absorbing in a single visit – that many of her members return time and time again: it is a rate of recurrence such as I have never seen elsewhere. I recommend Kay Money’s leadership wholeheartedly to anyone who wants a visit that does the land justice."
